Dimensionnement et analyse performancielle : définition de la notion d’Enrobé à Module Élevé (EME) adapté aux régions froides

Abstract : High performance asphalt concrete, such as the French "EME", can increase pavements lifespan. In cold regions, climatic conditions (cold temperature, freeze-thaw cycles, …) influence the performances of bituminous materials. This paper aims at proposing a performance analysis of different high performances asphalt mixes using a coefficient related to the raise of lifespan and highlighting the existence of couple modulus-fatigue strength equivalent to the French EME performances. Then, a calculation method adapted to Quebec particularities will lead to show the variability and the impact of design temperature.
