L’équilibre nutritionnel et la grossesse, connaissances et informations des femmes : enquête dans une maternité d’Île-De-France

Abstract : Introduction: Nutrition is a central health topic and pregnancy is a special time to be interested in it. Do pregnant women have sufficient knowledge and are they informed about the nutritional balance?
Objectives: Assess the knowledge of women and the information they received on nutrition during pregnancy.
Methods: Unicentric prospective observational quantitative study at Necker Hospital in Paris: questionnaire addressed to pregnant women.
Results: 49% of women obtained a knowledge score <5/10, nothing seems to significantly influence their knowledge. Also, primiparous women are more informed by professionals and more interested than multiparous women (p <0.05). Finally, women with a BMI ≥25 face an excessive average weight gain.
Conclusion: Women's knowledge and information can be improved even if our results remain encouraging. In practice, providing targeted and systematic information as well as multidisciplinary care can be areas for improvement.
