État des lieux des connaissances et des pratiques des professionnels de santé d’Ile de France concernant la prévention et le dépistage de l’infection congénitale à CMV pendant la grossesse

Abstract : Introduction : Cytomegalovirus infection is the leading cause of congenital infection in France, so it is a major public health issue.
Method : Multicentric quantitative study. The aim of this study was to carry out an inventory of knowledge and practices concerning congenital cytomegalovirus infection in professionals carrying out pregnancy monitoring in Ile de France (midwives, obstetrician gynecologists, general practitioners).
Results : 26.1% of healthcare providers follow the French recommendations and provide hygiene advice to every pregnant women, 55.5% of professionals carry out screening serologies during pregnancy, which is not in accordance with the recommendations. Differences were evidenced in knowledge and practices depending on the profession (midwives, obstetrician gynecologists, general practitioners)
Discussion : Those results are explained by a poor knowledge of the pathophysiology of the infection and a minimization of cytomegalovirus infection impact on public healthcare.
