Ciment verre ionomère de haute viscosité (IONOSTAR Plus®) versus une résine composite Bulk (X-tra fil ®) : étude multicentrique prospective

Abstract : On Réunion Island, the population of the Mafate circus is isolated from the rest of the island and presents significant dental care needs, with a high caries risk. Difficult access to the rest of the island is a major obstacle for this population. In order to provide a solution to this isolated population, Doctor Gilmé Albuffy, a dental surgeon from Réunion, created a dental office on site. The study proposes, by comparing two Bulk-fill materials, the IONOSTAR Plus® HVGIC and the x-tra fil® composite resin (Voco), to validate a specific treatment protocol in restorative dentistry intended for isolated populations and by extension to populations with a high caries risk. Secondly, the comparison of the FDI criteria identified by the operators with the FDI criteria identified by the experts at the Montpellier University Hospital thanks to the imagery transmitted by the operators, will allow validation and development of telemedicine. Two inclusion centers will be used: Mafate (Dr Gilmé Albuffy) and the Marseille University Hospital (Pr Hervé Tassery). The study protocol is divided into four parts. The first corresponds to the inclusion visit to the randomized study of tooth pairs, the evaluation of the caries risk, the realization of the treatment and statement of FDI scores. Shots with the Soprolife® intraoral camera are taken in daylight mode and mode II (fluorescence): pre-op, cavity before and after excavation, obturation. At each control visit (6 months, 12 months and 24 months), an evaluation of the caries risk (CAMBRA), a statement of the FDI scores, as well as shots in daylight mode will be taken. At each visit, a comparison of the FDI scores in situ and at a distance will be carried out by experts from the Montpellier University Hospital.
