Description d’un nouveau dispositif de coopération médicale entre pédiatre et puéricultrice en pédiatrie libérale

Abstract : Introduction: the ASALÉE association is a medical cooperation device already used and evaluated in general medicine. The number of independent paediatricians who are less and less numerous but still have multiple missions could benefit from such a system. This is why we were interested in the first paediatric medical cooperation system within ASALÉE. The main objective was to describe this new system. Our secondary objective was to evaluate the benefit of this system for patients and their families. Material and methods: we carried out a descriptive unicentric observational study over 6 months including consecutively and without exclusion criteria all the patients seen in consultation by the paediatric nurse and collected data concerning the patients, their families and consultations. We also questioned the families by a questionnaire to understand the benefits of these consultations. Results: 234 patients were included. 61.1% of the patients in the study are less than 1 year old. The 2 most common reasons for consultation were "care for newborns and infants" and "parental support". 65.9% of patients referred by paediatricians came to the consultation. The response rate to the questionnaire was 49% with 99% of positive responses concerning families feedback on this system. Discussion: this study describes an innovative and topical concept in liberal paediatrics which would require other types of studies in order to be evaluated in its entirety but which could conceivably be extended to other territories.
