Recueil et comparaison des données de la phase interventionnelle de l’étude SPICES à 0 et 6 mois dans la grappe 10

Abstract : Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death worldwide. Prevention strategies can act on the risk factors of CVD. The SPICES project is an international study that aims at validating a prevention strategy without drug treatment for the primary prevention of the CVD. The objective of this work was to assess the efficiency of a behaviour change intervention program, which was carried out by accompanying citizens, on the cardiovascular risk among the population of COB region at 0 and 6 months. Methods: prospective quantitative and interventional study, lasting 6 months. Controlled trial with open randomization into 2 groups. The intervention group participated in behavior change intervention sessions, led by accompanying citizens, the control group received brief advice. Inclusion criteria : age over 18, working or living in the COB region with a moderate CV score according to the Interheart score. The primary endpoint was a reduction in the Interheart score of 15% in the intervention group between 0 and 6 months. Results: an increase of the Interheart score was observed in the intervention group (3,8%), and a decrease in the control group (5,6%). In both groups there was an increase of weight; and alcohol consumption had decreased in frequency, and increased in quantity. The results were not statistically significant. Conclusion : these results, which are not significant at the scale of cluster 10 of the COB region, will be put into perspective for the entire cohort, and during the continuation of the study at M12, M18 and M24. In view of the COVID 19 health crisis, the lockdown has probably impacted the participant’s lifestyles and therefore the results of the study. This work has led to an interesting approach to the evaluation of CV risk in the general population by the Interheart score, adapted to clinical practice in general medicine.
