Évaluation du module de santé sexuelle : évolution de l’acquisition des connaissances et des comportements à risque des étudiants en santé à Nice

Abstract : Goals: evaluate the difference in knowledge acquisition about sexual and reproductive health between the health department students who have chosen the sexual health module, called the peer, and those who have chosen an other module. Evaluate changes in peer risky behaviours.
Method: Prospective unicentric non-randomized cohort was carried out from December 4th 2018 to June 19th 2019 among the health department students of Nice who joined the sexual health module and a control group (health department students who have not chosen the sexual health module), using a pre-test and a post-test. The exposure factor is the sexual health module.
Results: 482 surveys were collected and included in the study : 235 during the first phase and 247 after school interventions. The average participation rate is of 92,7%. The results among the exposed population (T/F and multiple choice test) increase very significantly (p<0,000) in contrast to the unexposed population where the T/F and the multiple choice test average decrease significantly (p<0,011, -1,58/30). About the risky behaviours, these results are consistent with those in the litterature. They do not allow us to conclude changes risky behaviours.
Conclusion: the health service allows a significative increase in knowledges of peers about their sexual health but, it does not allow us to show a decrease in risky behaviours throughout the study period. An assessment on the long-term impact should be considered. Similarly, it seems to be appropriate to reproduce this pattern of study at a national level and among secondary school students.
