Abstract : Bacteria are the cause of tooth decay. The management of these is an issue of prevention and disinfection of surface seem to be a necessity before the restauration of cavities. The goal of this work is to analyze several methods of dentin disinfection available to the clinician in order to reduce the bacterial presence through solutions, physical means or materials. After an introduction on bacteria as well as the particularity of dentin disinfection, we will see the intrinsic properties of the methods which are likely to allow dentin disinfection. Finally, we will analyze the clinical data of these protocols and the consequences on the fate of restorations in order to give an answer to the subject of the thesis.
