Abstract : Objective : The neonatal rehospitalization rate is between 2 and 4% of newborn during their first twenty eight days in France. The purpose of this study was to know the causes of rehospitalization and to found factors correlated with an increase risk of rehospitalization. Methods : This retrospective descriptive quantitative study was conducted with analysis of 118 medical record of newborn born in 2016 and 2017 and rehospitalized after their discharge from the maternity in their first twenty eight days. Results : In the study, rehospitalization rate is about 2,52% of newborn. 52,8% of newborn were rehospitalized for infection, 13% for vagal symptom predominantly because of gastro-esophageal reflux, 9,8% for poor weight gain, 8,9% for digestive disorders, 4,9% for neonatal jaudnice and 4,9% for traumatic brain. Conclusion : Several factors were correlated with an increase risk of rehospitalization : maternal age over 35 years, multiparity for infections, primiparity for other causes of rehospitalization, neonatal jaundice during maternity stay, birth in autumn-winter.
