Communication et management en pharmacie d'officine

Abstract : The Pharmacist, considered as the most accessible and the first proximity health professional, has a job which evolves perpetually. Between his new missions, the never-ending threats to the pharmaceutical monopoly and the increasing competitions, the pharmacist must be able to adapt in a shifting environment. He must be good in communication and as a manager. Such communication is done through the Pharmacy’s image and its collaborators but also through the relationship established via communicating with the patient in order to improve his treatment adherence by finding the right words and the right posture. Leading a team on a daily basis is a complicated exercise and the Pharmacist’ scientific skills, even though necessary, are not enough. His attitude, more than his scientific knowledge, will make him a good manager. This thesis aims at giving tools to pharmacists and inviting for further reflection on the importance of communication and management within a community pharmacy.
