Enquête sur la prise en charge des douleurs liées à l'endométriose et la place des alternatives thérapeutiques en Bretagne en 2019-2020

Abstract : Atypical clinical presentation : asymptomatic form, infertility or specific pain (dysmenorrhea, dyspareunia, digestive and/or urinary disorders). Impacting the quality of life, a majority of patients resort to complementary therapeutic alternatives in order to control their difficulties. Thus, the survey results show that physical therapies (osteopathy, acupuncture, yoga …) are mainly used followed by the adoption of a specific diet (anti-inflammatory, gluten-free, etc.) and finally by the use of micronutrition, phytotherapy, aromatherapy and even homeopathy. A front-line healthcare professional, the pharmacist can be applieds by patients who are more and more interested. He will be vigilant about the compatibility of these alternatives with the patient profile and will ensure that he is referred to doctors specializing in endometriosis.
