La gestion du planning au cabinet dentaire

Abstract : Planning management at the dental office is a difficult mission which can impact both the practitioners’ professional organisation and their personal life, by generating delays or stress. Indeed, dental cares duration is mostly random, and some imponderables as emergencies, delays or patient cancelations, can disorganise the agenda. Some organisational troubles that can disturb the planning are frequently met. However, an organised but flexible agenda can be really beneficial for dentists and their patients. There are some concrete tools inspired by management formations in the dental clinic which, based on every practitioner’s wills, allow a methodical and efficient planning organisation. The choice of the appointment booking support, on paper, computer or via an online medical appointment platform, must also be wisely chosen. Finally, because this task is quite often reassigned to someone else, appointment booking implies the staff’s training as well as a reliable communication with the patients, in order for them to be respectful and engaged with the dental clinic’s values.
