L'ADOOM (Aide au diagnostic et orientation pour les médecins) : élaboration d'un site internet pour la carie précoce de l'enfant

Abstract : Early childhood caries is an infectious disease that affects children under the age of six. It can be avoided by prevention messages with parents and children in matters of diet, oral hygiene and the use of fluoride. This prevention must at the early stage. However, the first visit to the dentist, in contrast to the recommandations in force to date, rarely takes place when the first teeth appear. General practitioners and pediatricians, are at the front line to detect early childhood caries. However some studies had highlighted that their instruction did not prepare them to that mission. This doctoral work aims at creating ADOOM, a website enabling practitioners to better diagnose, prevent and guide. This digital tool was then tested with a sample of professionals. The practitioners confirmed the usefulness of this tool, that they have judged satisfying for daily use.
