Description des caractéristiques et des morbidités des femmes enceintes infectées par la COVID-19 et de leur(s) nouveau-né(s) dans les départements du Calvados, de la Manche et de l’Orne du 01/03/2020 au 31/01/2021

Abstract : Objective: To describe the incidence, characteristics and morbidities related to COVID-19 in pregnant women infected with SARS-COV2 and their newborn(s) in the departments of Calvados, Manche and Orne. Method: Descriptive cohort of pregnant women infected with SARS-COV2 in the departments of Calvados, Manche and Orne over the period from 01/03/2020 to 31/01/2021. Results: Thirty-nine women were infected and 34 could be analyzed, no deaths were reported in women or their newborn(s). Twenty-nine (85%) women were asymptomatic or had mild forms, 6% had moderate forms, 3% had severe forms and 6% had critical forms. 21% of the infected women were overweight and 29% were obese; 26% of them were migrants, 32% were employed and 24% had no professional activity. Prematurity was estimated at 9%. Conclusion: Pregnant women infected with COVID-19 are less symptomatic but more at risk of presenting severe forms of the disease. Women who are migrant, overweight, obese, or have a history of diabetes, gestational hypertension, or pre-eclampsia appear to have a higher incidence of complicated forms. Studies are needed to assess the effects of infection in the first two trimesters.
