L’ enseignement du thème « Recycler » à travers une démarche interdisciplinaire

Abstract : During the Trente Glorieuses era, the environmental protection began to be the focus of the international community. From 1986, we officially talk about "sustainable development". The sustainable development education became, on the eve of the 21st century, a mission of the Education Nationale, until it became one of its major concerns, as per shown the latest changes to the ongoing programs (BOEN n°31 du 30 juillet 2020). The theme "Recycle" appears in the geography program for the CM2 level. However, it is also well suited to other disciplines to deal with similar objects such as the different types of materials. This research is interested in the levers of an approach across disciplines in sciences and geography to address the theme "Recycle". The research is based on the experimentation of an interdisciplinary sequence in a test class conducted simultaneously with a disciplinary sequence in geography in a control class. The results show that the test class pupils had a better knowledge acquisition. These results also show that this project allowed pupils to develop responsible citizen - like behaviors, transposable in their everyday life. However, it does not deny or confirm that the pupils were able to develop a systemic vision of sustainable development.
