Littérature de jeunesse, lutte contre les stéréotypes de genre : effets d’un livre neutre et d’un livre contre-stéréotypé sur la déconstruction des stéréotypes de genre chez des élèves de petite section

Abstract : The fight for equality between girls and boys is a main issue for the National Education. Over the years, research about gender stereotypes and children’s literature has flourished. Some practices are aimed to deconstruct theses gender stereotypes. This master’s dissertation aims to compare the effects of deconstruction produced by two types of books (neutral and counter-stereotyped) among nursery students. This research also raises some questions about the presence of gender stereotypes among students between the ages of 2 and 3. The results show, on the one hand, that students of this age already have stereotypes and theses stereotypes are more entrenched among girls. On the other hand, it shows that the use of a counter-stereotyped book is more effective than a neutral book in the deconstruction of gender stereotypes among nursery students aged 2 to 3 years old.
