LUCIOLE : analyse et évaluation des effets d’un serious game et son apport pour l’apprentissage de l’anglais

Abstract : Serious games are increasingly being used for foreign language acquisition, starting in Cycle 2. However, many questions remain unanswered regarding experimental protocols and thevalue of these games for learning. This is why researchers and educators have come together to design a serious game, LUCIOLE. The LUCIOLE game aims to develop the oral comprehension of english in cycle 2 pupils and has been tested for three years. Based on a playful dimension, the first results of the post-tests showed an effect of LUCIOLE on learning that needs to be refined by cross-referencing them with the interaction traces. In this work, we tried to analyse the LUCIOLE traces by defining routines for the calculation of indicators. To do this, we disambiguated and restructured the traces in order to measure the effects of LUCIOLE in relation to the pre- and post-test for the validation of the game.
