Analyse de l'impact de la différenciation du contenu et de la structuration du travail en classe de STMG

Abstract : The goal of this research paper is to examine the impact of differentiated instruction of content and structuring of work in a classroom of "première STMG" (year 11 of Science and Management Technologies) on the motivation and acquisition of skills of students. The theoretical part takes up the elements of the scientific literature concerning differentiation, the reasons why this model has been proposed, but also why differentiation should not be confused with a miracle solution. Students are divided into three groups, experimenting with different forms of differentiation, and a control group. Their motivation is measured with questionnaires given at the beginning and end of the sequence. The acquisition of skills is measured by the evolution of their academic results. The results of the experimentation are contrasted, as not all forms of differentiated instruction show effect. Differentiation thus appears to be a pedagogical method that complements other practices and, above all, that must be implemented over a long period of time and contextualized for the students.
