La restauration de figure au cycle 2

Abstract : The transition from perceptual geometry to analytical geometry in key stage 2 is a recurring difficulty for the students. Building on recent research, the experimentation conducted in a CE2 class offers activities of restoration of a complex assembly with a graduality in dimensional deconstruction, and variation on the available instruments and primer. The aim is to change the way students look at the figure so that they identify the alignment relationships that exist between its elements of dimension 1 (the lines) and of dimension 0 (the points). By analyzing the procedures implemented and their evolutions, we see that the identification and use of dimension 1 elements is progressing favorably, also as the identification of alignments. However, the notion of point remains difficult to access for many.
