Le rôle du professeur documentaliste dans la mise en œuvre d’une éducation au développement durable

Abstract : In France, education for sustainable development (ESD) is a cross-sectional education that was developed during the twentieth century to tackle growing concerns around the environmental, economic and social situation. This evolution took place in the international context of Education having to fit in with the sustainable development objectives (SDO) set in 2015 by the United Nations Member States and part of the “2030 Agenda”. ESD is now considered as a priority within French education to meet the challenges of the twenty-first century, and the whole educational staff is responsible for its implementation. Because of the specific missions he oversees, the Documentation teacher has a particular role to play in the deployment of ESD within chools. The two projects presented in this professional report illustrate the various involvements and specificities of the Documentation teacher based on interdisciplinarity, project instruction, citizenship education, all in relation with the objectives and teaching methods of the ESD.
