Place de l'imagerie spectrale en scanner

Abstract : Medical imaging has evolved tremendously over the last decades and is now an essential part of the diagnosis and treatment of several pathologies. One of the most recent innovations is the IQon Spectral CT by Phillips, which uses multiple types of energy in order to obtain high-quality tissue imaging. However, this cutting-edge technology isn’t implemented by all health institutions yet. This paper highlights the different co-existing technologies as well as their function. Moreover, this report will underline the potential applications of the IQon Spectral CT in addition to its advantages over the conventional scanner. Finally, the economical and public health challenges will be discussed along with the new Spectral CT position with regard to hospital groups.
