Faisabilité et satisfaction des patientes pour la promontofixation coelioscopique en chirurgie ambulatoire

Abstract : Laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy is the recommended surgery for the management of pelvic organ prolapse and usually involves a standard hospitalization. We conducted a retrospective observational multicenter study to assess its feasibility and patient satisfaction for same day discharge.
The primary outcome was the success of ambulatory defined as discharge the day of surgery. The secondary outcomes were satisfaction, symptom improvement, rate of intra operative complications and rate of emergency visits within seven days.
We observed a success rate of 95.2% for ambulatory in our population of 125 patients. Among the 119 same day discharged patients, only three (2.5%) had an emergency visit within 7 days. The complication rate was 4%. We found 88.5% of very satisfied or satisfied patients. Significant improvement in initial symptoms was reported by 76.9% of our patients.
Our data support the spread of same day discharge for laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy.
