Les transports à la demande ruraux : quelles méthodologies pour quels services ? L'exemple de la Communauté de Communes des Villes d'Oyse et du projet « T.A.D. mixte »

Abstract : Demand responsive transport systems had became useful in French rural areas. The number of trips on such services is low. Only 0.2 trip per inhabitant per year in 2004. People who travel by such services are very often elderly persons, sometimes young people. Services shapes are various, from virtual lines to "door to door" services. Local rural authorities are asking for more and more demand responsive transport services. So it is necessary to have a good methodology to build it, and also a good knowledge of territories. The works made by Transetude for the "Villes d'Oyse Community" is a good example to illustrate this question. A complete study of the territory, by data analyses like interview with local authorities and inhabitants has been necessary to be able to present two demand responsive transport services projects able to satisfy elderly inhabitants and teenagers' transport demand to the towns of the Community. However, trying to resolve demand responsive transport services question on a large geographic scale was one of the goals of the "mix" demand responsive transport service from KEOLIS. With this project, KEOLIS try to define a service which would be able to be a response to handicapped persons transport demand like valid persons.
