Gestion d'énergie et système de surveillance du Centre Hospitalier du Nord-Liban

Abstract : Centre Hospitalier du Nord is a hospital built in 1986 in Zgharta, North Lebanon, 95 kilometers from Beirut, and consisting of a single unit capable of encompassing 110 beds. The hospital became operational in 1997. Aim of the pilot project is the implementation of energy efficiency measures which were identified in an energy audit. The audit aimed to describe realistic energy saving methods with acceptable payback duration, taking into consideration the actual facility status. Therefore real measurements were taken during September, October and November 2003 period. In addition annual statistics and financial data were analyzed. Strategy for the implementation is on the one hand to manage the demand in order to optimize the kWh cost, knowing that 75% of the electrical energy is produced by diesel Generators. On the other hand focus will be on reducing energy wastes. This results in the following strategy:
- Air Conditioning energy efficiency improvement
- Lighting energy efficiency improvement
- Demand Side Management (DSM)
- Optimizing Diesel consumption
