Prévention de la dépression post-natale. Dépister en consultations prénatales : entretiens auprès des sages-femmes et obstétriciens

Abstract : The postpartum depression is a complication of childbirth that affects over one in ten women what makes this disease a real public health concern. Our study questions the midwives and obstetricians at antenatal clinics, the resources at their disposal to detect those women. In this work, we also evaluated the acceptability of a screening tool DAD-P allowing them to address certain issues rarely included in conventional interrogation. Practitioners having used it as a concrete basis for their feelings, other professionals say they do not have used it for lack of time, the main barrier to screening. The training of professionals on post-natal depression to be improved, the establishment of a postnatal staff at distance of the delivery could be envisaged to sensitize professionals to the consequences of depression.
