Éléments méthodologiques pour la production des scénarios de végétalisation d'un quartier dans un objectif de réduction de la consommation énergétique des bâtiments

Abstract : The configurations of urban spaces, as well as its components participate actively in the energy performance of buildings by making them either more energy-greedy or more energy-saving. The use of vegetation in the city emerge then as an alternative solution for reducing building energy consumption and also to fight against the urban heat island. In this master thesis, the direct and indirect effects of vegetal systems on building energy consumption are discussed from available literature on the subject. At first this work present the phenomena induced by plants on microclimate and building energy consumption, and the parameters that determine how vegetal systems respond to the environment. Then, a selection and classification of vegetal systems were made based on their direct and indirect effects on building energy consumption. Understanding the behavior of these systems allowed us to propose some practical criteria for the conception of strategic scenarios of vegetation. Finally, the conception of a scenario of vegetation was developed in GIS and applied to a neighborhood that is subject of measures and that which will be simulated.
