Abstract : Introduction: Telemedicine is booming with various objectives: to improve the quality of care, provide health coverage in isolated area and meet increased demand for care or reduce costs associated with transport. The decree of October 2010 sets out the regulatory rules The main objective of our work was to study the feasibility of tele-expertise between the Clinic of Dermatology and Rheumatology of Grenoble University Hospital located on two different sites. The secondary objective was to study the appropriateness of the advice given by tele-expertise. Materials and methods: This is a prospective study from March to November 2011. A photographic and computer equipment was made available to rheumatologists and a software called SyMU-Derm was created. Results: 39 patients were included and divided into three groups: acute inflammatory skin disease, chronic skin disease and skin tumor. Exchanges were necessary for 12 of 39 reviews. 18 patients were seen in consultation to verify the accuracy of the tele-expertise. Diagnosis and treatment were concordant for 9 of 18 patients. Conclusion: Our study confirmed the feasibility and usefulness of the diagnosis by tele-expertise for certain skin disorders especially for acute inflammatory diseases and / or labile. This technique was evaluated by doctors rheumatologists (ease and speed of the notice). This study has highlighted the importance of quality and availability of equipment and the need for minimal training in Dermatology physician applicants.
