Rapport à la norme. Discours métalinguistique spontané sur des forums anglophones et francophones

Abstract : In this thesis, we address the issue of the relation of writers to linguistic standards on the Internet. We compare the attitudes of Anglophones and Francophones in respect of the standard. A short first part determines the theoretical framework within which this research fits, and summarizes the work that exists in this domain. Then, we develop the research that has been established. It involves gathering and analyzing a corpus of spontaneous metalinguistic discourses collected on web forums in a systematic and planned way. Through analysis both quantitative and qualitative, we want to contrast the context of communication and the language situations where this type of discourse appears and to highlight the reasons behind the emergence of metalinguistic discourses. From the corpus and analysis, the goal is to obtain as much information as possible on the relation that English and French users have with the standard.
