La modélisation 3D virtuelle dans les projets de paysage

Abstract : The new tools of design and representation such as computing and particularly the computer graphics are revolutionizing the entire process of land creation, in private and public sector. Since the 80s, the architects as well as the landscape designers have noticed possibilities the software of Computer-aided design may offer. The work method of designers has changed since the fast evlolution of computing and computer graphic technologies. The two-dimensional computer graphics (plans and sections) now are supplemented by three-dimensional computer graphics so as to create views in perspectives, photomontages, photorealistic virtual models as well as videos. The use of the virtual 3D modelling in the landscape agencies remains, nevertheless punctual and the number of firms integrating it in design process seems limited. This raises the question of why? What were the obstacles to its development in landscape offices? Despite the interest in some, why this technique does not develop more? Is it really helpful in the conception of a project? Does it improve the communication in a project? What are its limits and assets? What could be its future? By studying works on methodology of conception of projects and computer graphics tools ; put conducting a survey with the landscape designers as well as the use of virtual 3D modelling, this report provides results that can answer various questions raised over these problems.
