De la nouaison à la récolte : modèles de prévision et indicateurs de la chute physiologique du pommier (Malus domestica Borkh.)

Abstract : Nowadays researches didn't allow to explain the June drop complexity. Young fruits fall is very variable depending on the weather, the thinning methods and unknown variables. The aim of this study was to identify the early young apple fruits fall markers and examine predicting models of June drop. The pedicel color, the bourse shoot ethylene emissions and the apple seeds number were studied as markers. Three models were analyzed: a nutritional model based on the leaf/fruit ratio, on the average growth rate and on the fruit sugar rate; a climatic model based on the temperatures, on the sun radiations and on the rains; and a global prediction model to forecast apple tree load based on photos analyzing softwares. The results made it possible to select some markers and models. More studies will be followed on this selection to develop a complete predicting model which will permit to moderate the thinning chemicals using.
