L'inter-formation en groupe d'analyse de pratique entre pairs en médecine générale : approche socio-anthropologique

Abstract : Aim : Inspired by the method of Groupe de Pairs® labeled by Société Française de Médecine Générale, Peer Groups in General Practice are based on an inter-formation model. Existing literature is poor about field analysis. The purpose of this study is a socio-anthropological approach to the conceptual definition of "inter-formation" within the peer groups in General Practice. Methods : Following an exploratory anthropological with participant observation, we conducted a interactional study of transcribed recordings. It included an analysis of the sequences, a thematic analysis of exchanges, and a conversational and interactionnal analysis. Results : The framework of inter-formation is balanced between structure and conviviality. Thematic analysis showed exchanges of scientific references, practices, and relational attitudes but also transmission of colleague's contact information, sometimes under a "fraternel conflict", aiming to build an "establishment of ambulatory care". These exchanges could be analyzed as exchanges of requirement criteria, with the purpose of medical practice improvement. The inter-formation also included the organization of Continuing Medical Education sessions. The interactional study of our integration as an "ambiguous" peer reaffirmed that mutual parity and legitimacy is essential. Through reciprocal exchanges, though not perfectly homogeneous, there was negotiation and mutual appropriation by peers, leading to a change in their "person" rather than just their "knowledge". Conclusion : Our study defined the "inter-formation" as the whole of mutual exchanges: an "alter-formation" for the co-construction of a renewed professional identity.
