Les enjeux du développement et de la gestion du gaz naturel dans les villes tunisiennes : cas de l'agglomération de Sfax

Abstract : This paper questions the energy access in Tunisia by the case of the natural gas network development in Sfax. Between themes like urban network services and sustainable development in Arab cities, the stake is to analyze the logics of energy access in a prospect of feedback between the local and the national scales. The problem of the energy efficiency in Tunisian cities must be taken in a whole, to determine clearly which are the causes of the difficulties that can be met. The decrease of energy resources compared to the increasing demand and the seizure of the sustainable development concept are the base of the Tunisian energy policy new orientation about which cities are the most privileged support. The enforcement of these measures is however sometimes far from the speeches, especially in the case of the concept of durability, always evoked by the political decision-makers. Accordingly, the energy access modalities are modified, and establish a new place for social discrimination; however, can we talk about splintering urbanism here?
