Comment parvenir à la connaissance, à la compréhension et au plaisir de lire par la littérature de jeunesse ?

Abstract : Children's literature can be defined as all the works written for a young audience and published in an edition for children. This literature was originally oral and intended for an adult audience. Culture was then shared. Today, we still speak about "common culture". Historically children's literature has known numerous evolutions. Genres and themes are varied. In books for young, text and the illustrations are connected, the latter playing an important role. Childish or animal characters are very regularly presented. Furthermore, children's everyday life is a recurrent theme in this literature. Public or school libraries, school, teachers, parents, publishers, booksellers, writers and peers play an important role in the access to youth literature. These structures and these participants allow children to develop desire and pleasure to read. They also favour learning and understanding enabling the child to grow up. The French curriculums favour the access to children's literature, which has had, since 2002, an official status in the learning process.
