Modélisation simplifiée des processus de dégradation des pollutions majeurs des surverses de déversoirs d'orage par les filtres plantés de macrophytes à écoulement vertical

Abstract : Vertical flow constructed wetlands has been constructed as a useful system for CSO treatment. In order to propose design rules, the model RSF_Sim describes the ammonium and COD removal with simple equations. The validity of the model has been investigated on experimental columns. The database was composed by 199 mean samples and 55 times series, which was collected on two different sands and four different infiltration rates. The CSO have been obtained by mixing diluted wastewater and synthetic molecules. Logistic regression and covariance analysis allowed identifying the factors influencing the performance of the columns. The obtained models have been adjusted and evaluated with confusion matrices and the Nash coefficient. Three factors affect mainly the ammonium removal: the type of sand, the infiltration rate and the inflow ammonium loading. The parameters influencing the outflow nitrates loading are the type of sand, the previous dry period, the adsorbed ammonium loading during the last event and the inflow ammonium loading during the current event. This last parameter suggests a nitrification during the feeding. The factors influencing the COD removal could not be determined by statistical models. However, it seems that too big infiltration rates do not allow obtaining a sufficient retention time to active the biomass involving in its removal. The using of regression models allowed identifying the factors influencing the columns performances. However, les found relations are only applicable for the investigated data. They have to be validated on full scale plants. Moreover, the hydraulic state has to be taken into account in the next studies.
