Évaluation du retour d'information des résultats des frottis cervicaux utérins de dépistage auprès des médecins traitants isérois‎ : enquête de prévalence descriptive dans un département pilote en matière de dépistage organisé du cancer du col de l'utérus

Abstract : TITLE : Evaluation of the information feedback from the results of cervical smears based on screening with the general practitioners of Isère. Survey about descriptive prevalence in a pilot department regarding organized cervical cancer screening. BACKGROUND : The general practitioners are at the core of cervical cancer screening's coordination. OBJECTIVES : Evaluate with general practitioners of Isère : the feedback of the results of cervical smears screening, the completed cervical smears rates, their feelings on a systematic feedback and the impact of organized screening in Isère. METHOD : Prevalence Study on descriptive medical records. 729 general practitioners were asked to provide 10 patients each on the inclusion criteria for screening. RESULTS : 78 general practitioners included 770 cases. 72.4% of the records were complete (date, result and quality) when the general practitioner was the last cervical smear doer and 66.6% when he had the sampler feedback (6.44% of cases) against 5.72% of cases when it was not the doer. 98.7% of general practitioners wanted a systematic feedback of cervical smears results, to entrust the 77.92% for cytologists and the 16.88% for samplers. 85.9% of general practitioners make cervical smears and they did it for 27.4% of the inclusions. For 65.38% of general practitioners the presence of a screening program would impact their involvement in it. CONCLUSION : Wished by general practitioners, recommended by the HAS, the systematic feedback of cervical smears results to referring regular practitioners is anecdotal whereas technical means exist to do it. Helping general practitioners to better coordinate this screening, we hope to improve their involvement that seems to be influenced by the presence of an organized screening. What are the obstacles to the organization of this systematic feedback?
