L'acalculie chez les patients AVC : représentations symboliques et sémantiques du nombre

Abstract : This study aims to prove the interest of using the Triple Code model in ordinary speech therapy for patients with acalculia. That model is based on studies of single cases and separates the symbolical and analogical fields during calculation and treatment of number by brain. Then is it possible to base a diagnosis and a reeducation program on that dissociation? From a population study of 33 stroke patients with tests chosen in ECAN, we often find that dissociation, which therefore seems an appropriate way of treatment.
