Troubles de la déglutition en gériatrie‎ : optimisation de l'administration des formes orales solides

Abstract : Elderly polypharmacy and swallowing disorders interfere with the administration of solid oral forms. To overcome this problem, in geriatric services it is common to crush tablets, open capsules. This practice induces risks. The first part of the work led to the development of various tools to assist doctors in the prescription and nurses in the administration of solid oral forms, created from the list of recommendations of OMéDIT Haute-Normandie. The second part of the work consisted of a review of the practices of nurses in a geriatric service of the University Hospital of Grenoble, before and after the training of personnel and establishment of tools. This study showed an optimization of the administration of solid oral forms.
