Approche évènementielle de la déclaration tardive de grossesse supérieure à seize semaines d'aménorrhée en Seine-Saint-Denis en 2013

Abstract : Study of the reasoning behind late pregnancy declarations higher than sixteen weeks of amenorrhea in Seine-Saint-Denis in 2013. The 2010 National Perinatal Survey observes an increase in pregnancy declarations after sixteen weeks of amenorrhea. Moreover, the department of Seine-Saint-Denis presents the highest rate of pregnancies declared outside of the legal time limit. In what way do certain socioeconomic and psychological factors lead women to delay the declaration of their pregnancy? We analyzed 102 pregnancy declarations made beyond the legal time limit between May and July 2013, in order to characterize patients in Seine-Saint-Denis who declared their pregnancy after sixteen weeks. We also carried out ten interviews with women between June and November 2013 to analyze the events which lead women to delay declaring their pregnancy. There is a significant association between a late pregnancy declaration and the absence of professional activity or having being born in a North African country (Maghreb). Late declarations of pregnancies are due to individual reasons, specific to each woman.
