Grossesses rapprochées : circonstances de survenue et représentations

Abstract : Although the situation of short interpregnancy intervals is frequent, they are not much studied. Hence, it seemed relevant to tackle it according to a social and anthropological approach. Indeed, given the existence of many means of contraception and non-negligible maternal and fetal risks, it is legitimate to study the occurrence s circumstances of short interpregnancy intervals. The realisation of semi-structured interviews enabled us to introduce a typology that showed an obvious lack of information. Though, as a medical discourse, information has a significant influence on the exposed people. Therefore, it appears essential to consider the spread of information by healthcare professionals and the understanding of it by women, especially at the time of the last visit before leaving maternity ward.
