Mondes de données et imaginaires : vers un monde cybernétique

Abstract : The data movements are comparable to information systems. In information systems, the technical process of data visibility occurs in three phases: data recording, data processing and interpretation. Open data, big data and data journalism locate in specific phases of this technical process. Through the discourse they mobilize, they are also holders of collectives imaginations. These speeches have a social function, of rupture or of group identification. The contemporary data worlds come from a cybernetic vision, appeared during the second world war. This trend leads us to represent the human and the world as informational units. So the only difference between human and machine is the complexity level. Then, life becomes a sequence of 0s and 1s, programmable and predictable.
