Attention et prises de conscience dans l'apprentissage : une étude des comportements enseignant/apprenants dans l’approche Silent Way

Abstract : The Silent Way approach, developed since the 60’ by pedagogue Caleb Gattegno, has the particularity to place the notion of ‘becoming aware’ on the center of its didactic model. Based on Gattegno’s works and on more actual works in fields close to the domain of foreign language didactics such as experimental cognitive psychology or interactional analysis, this mémoire presents a study about teacher/learners behavior in a corpus of courses using the Silent Way approach. The purpose of this work is to observe the didactic role of the notion of becoming aware and the links with the highly multimodal features of the approach.
