Du XIVe siècle au XIXe siècle, chirurgiens dentistes et hommes de pouvoirs : illustration d'une ascension sociale

Abstract : This thesis aims to describe the rise of the dental profession in France and its new status in society , the 14th to the 19th century. By the description of dentists portraits who had the responsibility of those in power of their time (the Popes, Kings and Emperors) and many will haven't been focused to dentistry. Through the life of these men, we are going to highlight the advances of the practice, the set up legislative panel, the new status of practitioner within the company and their relations with the governing power. This work keeps reference the french history and the overall context of the country, because we can't hide that it was important at this establishment. Although this practice remains rare and the people hadn't access, it has had a crucial impact in the establishment of the current system and one element founder of modern dentistry.
