Se rencontrer pour mieux se séparer : réflexions sur les fins de séances auprès d’un enfant porteur d’une Trisomie 21 et d’un TED

Abstract : The arrival of a disabled child generates a trauma for the parents that may undermine the attachment links that unite them. The early interactions are thus altered and the child may find difficult to differentiate and separate from the object of the attachment. This issue of separation is sometimes to be found during sessions. By his containing function, the psychomotor therapist will have to set a therapeutic frame that enables the child to feel secure. Through the encounter with this child and through a work around the body envelop, the psychomotor therapist may help him to differentiate himself from the other, to feel his body entirely and to feel as one so that he is able to separate by the end of the session.
