Ordre et agencement des verbes dans les prédicats complexes de Trajectoire en thaï d'après Harry Potter à l'École des Sorciers

Abstract : This research is in the frame of typological studies. Its objective is to examine the serial verb construction (SVC) in Thai, specifically, the order of morphemes with Path encoding. From a typo-descriptive analysis, we have listed the V1 frequencies and we have evaluated their frequency according to the semantic element which is encoded in the motion event. We have emphasized the order of the verbal morphemes by analyzing the frequency of the semantic elements of each position in a verbal series. Our study indicates five possible order constructions of complex predicate morphemes of Path expressions. We hope this study will clarify the question about the order of morphemes in Thai and provide interesting facts about serial verb constructions in others languages.
