Orthopédie préventive et interceptive des dysmorphoses de classes III : prise en charge en denture temporaire

Abstract : Being for a long time confined to the mandibular prognathism, the substancially maxilary and functional origin of class III dysmorphosis has come to be recognized. Jean Delaire’s concepts, as described in this thesis, provide a better understanding of the etiopathology of these dysmorphoses and the efficiency of these treatments at the stage of primary dentition. Within this period, preventive and interceptive treatments - simple and time-limited ones - can achieve significant results on jaws but also on the basus skull level. Primary dentition treatments would then appear to be more efficient than mixed dentition treatments. Let me illustrate my point with four clinical cases.
