Prévention des troubles musculo-squelettiques (TMS) du chirurgien-dentiste : réalisation d'un livret illustré d'exercices à destination des praticiens

Abstract : Musculoskeletal disorders whose dentists suffer from are a public health issue that can lead to invalidity and to the interruption of practice. Those occupational pathologies are due to repetitive postural strains located mainly on the back, the neck and the upper limb. The main risk factors which contribute to their apparition are individual ones, psychosocial ones and the ones linked to the quality of the working environment. Nowadays, a huge amount of curative or preventive methods are used to cope with those disorders: ergonomics principles, conventional medicine, manual therapies, and eventually for physiotherapy. The more satisfactory way of preliminary coping with these disorders is to ensure a good musculoskeletal health. Besides a physical activity, a daily preparation to the strains the body might meet during workday is to be ensured. Through an illustrated guidebook, this thesis brings the practitioner to follow an ada! pted warmup and stretching program to be achieved at the workplace.
