Pathologie dentaire et grossesse : enquête auprès des praticiens français sur leurs pratiques quotidiennes

Abstract : Abstact: The pregnancy is a period which comes along with numerous physical, hormonal, immunizing, cardiovascular modifications… These physiological changes can be at the origin of dental pathologies. And conversely, certain dental affections can have an impact on the good progress of the pregnancy. What is going to require a coverage(care) of the pregnant woman. At present, less than 10 % of the pregnant women consults a dental surgeon during the pregnancy. In the current state of the practices, we are going to be interested in the knowledge and in the activity of the dental surgeons with the pregnant woman. Methods: It is about a quantitative study and multicentrique in the form of questionnaire distributed to the dental surgeons of Ile-de-France. This questionnaire includes a total of 18 questions. It includes essentially closed questions, sometimes in multiple choices and questions of "other" type allowing a personal answer. Results and conclusion: The great majority of the dental surgeons seem aware possible fatal effects of the periodontal diseases on the good progress of the pregnancy. So, most part realizes a dental coverage when it is necessary without postponing the care. The dental coverage also passes by promotion of the prevention. This one could be improved by a better collaboration between the dental surgeons and the professionals of the pregnancy.
