Place de la réadaptation cardiaque des patients ayant présenté un syndrome coronarien aigu pris en charge à l’hôpital Haut-Lévêque en 2014 : étude prospective sur 5 mois

Abstract : Introduction: Cardiovascular disease is the first cause of death in developed countries. The primary and secondary prevention (adapted treatment and control of risk factors) is effective and allows a reduction in morbidity and mortality. In this sense, cardiovascular rehabilitation (CVR) plays an important role in secondary prevention and largely proven its effectiveness (Class I recommendation grade A). Despite the profit, less than a third of eligible patients participate. Objectives: To assess the role of the CVR in the management of Acute Coronary Syndromes (ACS) in Haut-Lévêque hospital and identify obstacles to its prescription. Materials and Methods: Prospective and observational study conducted from June 1, 2014 to October 31, 2014 with a questionnaire completed by cardiology residents of each cardiology department for patient with ACS. Results: Four hundred and fifty-six patients were included (80% men, mean age 65 years). Two hundred and two patients (mean age 59 years) were sent by CVR (44.3%). The factors of non orientation were mainly related to the patient (65%) (comorbidities or lack of motivation). There are however addressing disparities between different departments of Cardiology. Conclusion: Barriers to prescription CVR are numerous. The age, the patient's general condition, the motivation of the patient and the doctor are the main limits.
