Construction d’un référentiel pour la conduite d’évaluations socio-économiques à l’international

Abstract : As Egis Rail is developing abroad, the company comes to cooperate with customers from various regions, whose expectations and methods may differ from those familiar in Western Europe. Therefore Egis Rail has to reconsider its services to meet the actual needs encountered locally. Regarding the economic appraisal, the commonly used cost-benefit analysis might be non-relevant depending on the legal and socio economic background of the country. In order to extend the existing methodology, a survey was conducted that aimed to understand foreign clients expectation, weakness of the CBA method and point out more accurate approaches, according to the context in the emerging markets. An overview of the different trends and practices of the economic appraisal abroad is given in the first chapters of this document. Results on the CBA are introduced as a benchmark of theoretical or “state of the art” approaches, and those known from the operational feedback. Lastly are highlighted the most appropriate and easy to implement methods.
