La prison à la télévision : mise en scène de l’obscurité

Abstract : Since this is a place of confinement, the publicizing of information relating to prisons is subject to particular conditions. As the outside world do not have a direct access to what happens inside prisons, television emerged as the main communication support which shows prisons to the public. In this work, we focus on the role of television in building media visibility of the conditions of detention in France.
